Privacy Policy

Effective 29 July 2026

This policy explains what personal data [Registered legal entity name] (“Avanest”, “we”) collects through avanest.com, why we collect it, who else can see it, and what you can ask us to do about it.

What we collect

Information you send us

When you submit the consultation form we collect your name, email address, the service you selected, your message, and your company name if you choose to provide it. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry and to discuss potential work with you. We do not sell it, and we do not add you to a marketing list without asking you first.

Information collected automatically

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived. This is aggregate usage data, and it relies on cookies and similar identifiers set by Google. We do not use it to identify you personally.

Preferences stored on your device

If you switch between light and dark mode, we save that choice in your browser's local storage. It stays on your device, is never sent to us, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Who else processes your data

We rely on a small number of third-party services. Each one receives only what it needs:

  • Formspree — receives and forwards consultation form submissions to us. Everything you type into the form passes through them.
  • Google Analytics — receives site usage data and your IP address.
  • Google Fonts — our typefaces load from Google's servers, which means your IP address is visible to Google when a page loads.

These providers may store and process data outside your country. Each operates under its own privacy policy, which governs what it does with the data it receives.

How long we keep it

We retain consultation enquiries for 24 months from your last contact with us, after which they are deleted. If an enquiry becomes an active project, we keep the correspondence for as long as the business relationship requires and for any period our legal and tax obligations demand. Analytics data is retained according to the retention period configured in Google Analytics.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you, correct it if it's wrong, delete it, or stop using it. You can also object to how we're processing it. To make any of these requests, emailsupport@avanest.com— we'll respond within 30 days. If you're in a jurisdiction with a data protection authority and you're unhappy with our response, you're entitled to complain to them.

To opt out of Google Analytics across all sites, you can install Google'sbrowser opt-out add-on, or block analytics cookies in your browser settings.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and form submissions are encrypted in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so while we take reasonable measures to protect your data, we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children

This site is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we'll update this page and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be made clear rather than quietly rolled in.
